Artist Roberto

Roberto’s dance journey began in 2007 in Porto Alegre, Brazil, where he first fell in love with salsa. By 2010, his passion shifted toward Cuban dance, thanks to the influence of Alexey and Emília. Since then, he’s immersed himself in Cuban culture through extensive workshops, festivals, and a trip to Argentina to further his studies.

In 2019, Roberto moved to Lisbon, and by 2022, he was teaching Cuban dance at Jazzy Studios. He recently launched Sala Cubana, a project dedicated to Cuban dance. Known as a proud “timbero,” Roberto lives by the rhythm of timba, often saying, “me gusta la timba”.
