More than 35 workshops across five tracks
Celebrating its fifth edition, Crazy 4 La Timba has grown into a cornerstone of the global Timba community. Set against the vibrant backdrop of Lisbon, the festival blends exhilarating music, dance and cultural immersion. Whether you are a seasoned Cuban dancer or taking your first steps, join us from 15 to 18 October 2026 for a celebration that goes beyond dance.
Our programme runs in parallel tracks so you can follow the style that calls you — Casino, Son and ChaChaCha, Rueda, Timba and Urban, or Afro and Rumba — with live Cuban percussion in many of the sessions.

Workshop highlights
- Casino: from Casino 5D and Tiempo/Contratiempo to styling and musicality — the heart of Cuban social dance.
- Son & ChaChaCha: the elegance of Son, from a beginner intro through desplazamientos, tornillos and Bolero.
- Rueda: Dynamica, Domino, 2 con 2, transitions and pure Rueda Fun, for improvers up to advanced.
- Timba & Urban: musicality, Reparto, Reggaeton and Funky Timba — the sound of Cuba right now.
- Afro & Rumba: Guaguancó, Yambu, Columbia, Yuka y Makuta, Oggun and Chango, danced to live percussion.
Each workshop is led by Cuban maestros who teach not only the technique but the cultural story behind the movement.
Feel the beat: live Cuban percussion in the room
Sessions marked LP are accompanied by live Cuban percussion. Rather than dancing to a recording, you move with musicians playing in the room — the rhythm shifts with you, and the connection to the roots of the dance becomes something you feel rather than something you are told about.
Saturday closes with the Rumba del Solar in the patio at Jazzy Dance Studios: live drums, singing and the whole community in a circle, the way rumba is meant to happen.
