For two decades, Ricardo has explored the globe, studying a breathtaking array of instruments and musical styles—from classical piano in Porto and the Turkish saz in Istanbul, to the Chinese kuzheng in Beijing. His deep dive into rhythm includes mastering the complex South Indian system of Solkattu and, crucially for us, studying Afro-Cuban percussion and Latin drums under a Cuban master.

This vast experience makes him an artist with a truly unique perspective on improvisation and rhythm, which he will be sharing with all of us at C4LT!
