Cristian Mauricio, who studied Cuban folkloric dances at the Instituto Superior de Arte in Cuba, is a passionate advocate for focusing on the traditions and roots of Cuban dances. As director and choreographer of the dance company TIM MANANA, he won the Rueda de Casino world championships twice already. His passion for Son made him principal dancer of the Septeto Nacional Ignacio Piñeiro and he has won the Bicampeón and Rumbero Legacy Award for his work and developments in the teaching of and advocacy for Rumba. A word of advice from us – missing out on his incredible Son and Columbia classes would be a crime! :rocket::partying_face:
