Refund Policy

Last updated: 02/11/2026

This policy explains what happens if you cannot attend Crazy 4 La Timba, and what we do if we have to change, postpone or cancel the festival. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions. Your contracting party is Verein für Tanz und Kultur in Hamburg e.V., Sachsentor 13, 21029 Hamburg, Germany, info@crazy4latimba.com.

1. No statutory right of withdrawal for tickets

Crazy 4 La Timba is a leisure event on fixed dates. For tickets to the festival, bootcamps, masterclasses, parties and other activities there is no statutory right of withdrawal (§ 312g (2) no. 9 BGB). Your order is binding once the contract is concluded.

2. If you cannot attend

We do not refund tickets that you can no longer use, for example because of illness, travel problems or personal reasons. Instead, you can pass your ticket on to another person with a name change:

  • Buy a “Ticket Name Change” in our ticket shop for each ticket you want to pass on, no later than 15 days before the festival begins. It costs EUR 10.00 per ticket.
  • In that order, enter the ticket number of the ticket to be changed and the names and email addresses of the current and the new ticket holder.
  • We check the request. Once it is approved, the new ticket holder receives their new personalised ticket by email and the previous ticket becomes invalid.
  • We will try to handle name changes bought after that deadline, but we cannot guarantee that the change will be completed in time for the festival.

3. Personalised tickets and admission

Every ticket is issued in the name of its holder and is valid only for that person. At the entrance you need your ticket and an official photo ID (identity card, passport or driving licence) showing the same name as the ticket. Without a matching photo ID, admission will be refused and the ticket price is not refunded. Tickets passed on without an official name change are not valid for admission.

4. If the festival cannot take place

If the festival cannot take place, your ticket remains valid for the immediately following edition of Crazy 4 La Timba. If you cannot attend that edition, you may pass your ticket on to another person with a name change as described in section 2. Your statutory rights in the event that performance becomes impossible remain unaffected.

5. If we postpone the festival

If we have to postpone the festival, we will inform you without delay and your ticket remains valid for the new date. If you cannot attend on the new date, please contact us. Your statutory rights, including the right to a refund, remain unaffected.

6. Changes to the programme

We may replace individual instructors, workshops or rooms, or change the venue, where this is necessary for organisational reasons, is reasonable for you and does not change the overall character of the festival. Such changes do not entitle you to a refund. If a change is not reasonable for you, your statutory rights apply.

7. Cancelled bootcamps, masterclasses and other separately booked activities

If a bootcamp, masterclass or another separately booked activity does not take place, for example because it does not reach the minimum number of participants, we refund the price paid for that activity in full.

8. Exclusion from the event

If we exclude a participant from the event because of conduct that seriously disrupts the event or endangers others, no refund is owed. Details are set out in section 7.7 of our Terms and Conditions.

9. Physical goods

If you order physical goods, such as merchandise, in our ticket shop, the statutory right of withdrawal applies to those goods. The withdrawal instructions provided with that order apply.

10. How refunds are paid

Refunds are paid through the payment method used for the original order, without undue delay and as a rule within 14 days.
