General Terms and Conditions of Crazy 4 La Timba
Last updated: 06/10/2026
1. Organiser and scope
1.1 The organiser of the Crazy 4 La Timba festival and contracting party for all ticket purchases is:
Verein für Tanz und Kultur in Hamburg e.V. Sachsentor 13, 21029 Hamburg, Germany Register court: Amtsgericht Hamburg Represented by the board: Luis Carlos Simoes Duarte VAT identification number: DE294744622 Email: contact@timbatribe.com
1.2 These terms apply to all contracts concluded through crazy4latimba.com for festival passes, party tickets, bootcamps, masterclasses, concert tickets, city tours and related services.
1.3 A consumer is any natural person who enters into the contract for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or profession (§ 13 BGB). A trader is any person acting in the exercise of their trade, business or profession (§ 14 BGB).
1.4 Deviating terms of the customer do not apply unless we have agreed to them in writing.
2. Conclusion of contract
2.1 The presentation of tickets on our website is not a binding offer but an invitation to place an order.
2.2 By clicking the order button you submit a binding offer to purchase the items in your basket. Before submitting, you can review and correct your entries at any time using your browser and the basket functions.
2.3 We confirm receipt of your order by email immediately after it is sent. This confirmation of receipt does not constitute acceptance. The contract is concluded when we send you a separate order confirmation or your ticket, or when we execute the order.
2.4 The text of the contract is stored by us and sent to you by email together with these terms. It is not accessible to you through our website after the order.
2.5 The contract language is English.
3. Prices and payment
3.1 All prices are final prices and include the statutory value added tax applicable to the supply.
3.2 Payment is made through the payment methods offered at checkout. The payment is due immediately on conclusion of the contract.
3.3 Where we offer a reduced price for a limited period (early bird or scaled pricing), the reduced price applies only if payment is received within that period. If payment is received later, we are entitled to charge the difference to the price tier then in force.
3.4 Discount codes are valid only for the period and the products stated, cannot be combined unless expressly permitted, and cannot be paid out in cash.
4. Right of withdrawal
4.1 Tickets for the festival are contracts for services in connection with leisure activities for which we provide a specific date or period of performance. For such contracts the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply (§ 312g (2) no. 9 BGB).
4.2 Where you order physical goods that are dispatched to you, the ordinary statutory right of withdrawal applies. The separate withdrawal instruction provided at the time of that order is decisive.
4.3 Our voluntary cancellation and transfer rules are set out in our Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
5. Transfer of tickets, cancellation by us
5.1 Participation is personal. You may transfer your ticket to another person by purchasing the “Ticket Name Change” option and notifying us of the name and email address of both the original and the new ticket holder by the date stated in our Cancellation Policy.
5.2 We may refuse an order before acceptance. In that case no payment obligation arises and any amount already paid is refunded without delay.
5.3 If the festival cannot take place, your ticket remains valid for the immediately following edition of Crazy 4 La Timba. You may instead transfer it to another person under clause 5.1. Your statutory rights in the event that performance becomes impossible remain unaffected.
6. Admission, house rules and code of conduct
6.1 Admission requires a valid ticket, printed or on a mobile device. Without a valid ticket admission will be refused.
6.2 Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards others. Harassment, discrimination and disruptive behaviour are not tolerated.
6.3 We may exclude a participant from the event where their conduct seriously disrupts the event or endangers others, after a warning where a warning is reasonable in the circumstances. In that case no refund is owed. Your right to prove that we suffered no loss, or a substantially smaller loss, remains unaffected.
6.4 Filming of workshop content is not permitted unless the instructor or the organiser has agreed in advance.
7. Photography and film at the event
7.1 Photographs and video recordings are made at the festival and may be used for documentation and for our own publicity. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in documenting and promoting the event (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
7.2 You may object to the use of recordings in which you are identifiable at any time, at contact@timbatribe.com. Details are set out in our Privacy Policy.
8. Liability
8.1 We are liable without limitation for damage arising from injury to life, body or health caused by a breach of duty by us, our legal representatives or our agents, and for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence.
8.2 For slight negligence we are liable only where a material contractual obligation has been breached — an obligation whose fulfilment is essential to the proper performance of the contract and on whose observance you may regularly rely. In that case our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract.
8.3 Any further liability is excluded. Liability under the German Product Liability Act and under any guarantee given by us remains unaffected.
8.4 You participate in dance activities at your own risk within the limits set out above. We recommend that you bring your own insurance cover for personal belongings.
9. Intellectual property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images and video, is protected by copyright. Use beyond what is permitted by law requires our prior written consent.
10. Amendments to these terms
We may amend these terms with effect for future contracts. The version in force at the time of your order applies to that order. We will not change the terms of a contract already concluded without your agreement.
11. Dispute resolution
11.1 We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
11.2 Your statutory rights, including your right to bring proceedings before the courts, are unaffected.
12. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction
12.1 German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another EU Member State, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of that State.
12.2 If you are a trader, a legal person under public law or a special fund under public law, the place of jurisdiction is Hamburg. For consumers the statutory rules on jurisdiction apply.
13. Severability
Should any provision of these terms be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected.
